Plot Plan Scaling

Once a plot plan is loaded it must be scaled in order to be able to add data to the project.

The steps to scale a plot plan are as follows:

Step 1: Select two points defining a known horizontal distance on the plot.

Setting the scale – defining the second point

Step 2: Specify the horizontal (not vertical or diagonal) distance between these points,

Step 3: Click ‘Set Scale’ to complete scaling.

To restart the scaling click Restart and follow the steps above.

To change the plot plan image click load image.

Tip

Advisory Note

Rescaling a plot plan which has already been scaled will result in existing project locations being moved. It is recommended that scaling is performed at the beginning of the project to ensure no further rework is required in relocating project items.
